Family trip to 1000 Islands NY, USA

posted Jun 24, 2010 7:12 PM by Krishna Reddy Tallapureddy

My family had a great trip to 1000 Islands(NY), in the Memorial Day long weekend.  According to Wiki, 1000 Islands area is very popular among vacationers, campers, and boaters, and is often referred to as the "fresh water boating capital of the world".

We stayed few nights in a Hotel, at the banks of Lake Ontario and saw the great sun set view. You can have so much fun if you plan well in advance for all other attractions near Alexandria bay, NY.

Two things that you must Do when you are at 1000 Islands.

1) Boat tour by Uncle Sam,

2) Get down and visit Boldt Castle Island and stay at Hotel where you can see the beautiful 1000 islands view from your room.

and optional visits if you had time are
Thousand Island bridge between NY and Canada, Kart race track, Aquarium Zoo and etc..

The First attraction in 1000 Islands is the Boat tour. This Boat tour covers maximum islands with in two and half hour, where you can see the smallest to largest Island. A guide will explain you the history behind the Castles and houses build on those Islands by famous celebrities.

The second attraction in 1000 Islands is to get down and visit Boldt Castle. You can feel the beauty of Boldt islands with grate buildings and you can also see some parts of under construction Castle.

Family trip to Hershey and Pittsburgh

posted May 8, 2010 8:10 AM by Krishna Reddy Tallapureddy   [ updated May 8, 2010 3:51 PM ]

I generally like long driving in US high ways, just because you don’t feel tired and can take enough breaks to eat and drink. I enjoy the driving with lot of site seeings, hills, fast turns and slow turns during my journey to Hershey and Pittsburgh.

I drove with my family in a Toyota Camry (2007 model Tan) towards I81 south for about 4 hours 30 mins ( 256 miles) to reach “HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE WORLD”. This is a great attraction for kids and family to see HERSHEY’S CHOCOLATE TOUR ride. You can also watch other attractions like theme park and others. But we had a plan only to see Chocolate world for kids and drove towards Pittsburgh for a night stay.

I enjoy driving to Pittsburgh either from I79S or from I76W highways. While driving, we saw lot of hills, tunnels, beautiful farm housing lands can be seen during my 3 hours 14 mins ( 202 miles) drive to Pittsburgh.

In Pittsburgh we saw this time, Duquesne Incline “On a nice day, the view of the city and three rivers is priceless”. It was worth it to see the view and get a few photos of the city.”

We had a great day on Saturday morning Suprabhata seva in SV temple and visited Sai baba temple to finish Pittsburgh trip. We drove back through I79N to I90E to reach my home.

This is our second trip to Pittsburgh with in a year. This is one of my favorite place in US and i am logging off with some pictures from my trip.

My trip to New Jersey to watch a Telugu movie?

posted Mar 26, 2010 4:34 PM by Krishna Reddy Tallapureddy   [ updated May 8, 2010 3:40 PM ]

I travel four hours nearly 270 miles to see a movie in Big Cinemas Columbia Park 12, North Bergen, New Jersey on March 6th 2010. You think i am crazy enough to travel for long to watch a movie? may be i am.. you know what… this is my first movie watched in theater with my family after two and half years stay in USA. What drives me to see a movie? This blog post is a feeling of my thoughts after watching a cute romantic beautiful movie called “Ye Maaya Chesave” telugu movie.

I am not a movie reviewer but i am a big movie watcher right from my childhood. I always like movies with special touch in dealing LOVE and ACTION.  Being a common film viewer i like Gladiator, Basha, Terminator2 and First Blood Action movies. And at the same time i like love story movies Mounaragam, Titanic and Geethanjali.

Coming to Ye Maaya chesave movie, i like every scene right from the first scene displaying names under water with a music coming on the background to till the last dialog “ninnu ne babunu artham chesukovadam na valla kade babu”.

i could not express each scene how different it is but to pick some below…

After a long years i happen to see a Telugu Movie
A very close look of Hero and heroin faces in most of the scenes especially at dialogs and songs
Dialogs with conversation of characters are very simple and cute to see in this movie
A very different song picturesqueness with a western and classic music
I could see very good young Hero (Naga Chaitanya) and heroins (Samantha) with natural acting abilities

Big Scenes i like:
Nearly a 8 min single shot between Naga chaitanya and Samantha dialogs at the time of their breakup scene
A romantic scene where Samantha express her first love touching with Naga Chaitanya at Kerala after her marriage stops
A very touching climax action by Naga chaitanya

General impression on this movie:
Romantic expressions between Karthik and Jessy characters by Naga Chaitanya and Samantha are excellent.
Dialogs, which is quite natural and simple with todays life style.
Music, very good at the time of watching the songs and movie background score is very good.

And i am not going to compare this movie to any other movie.. not even tamil version… i can say this is a very natural movie acted by very talented young hero and heroin in this present generation of actors. This will sit as a separate place in the Telugu movie history ….and this is the new turning point in Telugu film era with new set of Heros…..
